- Strategic priorities for the transport sector,
- Targeted transport infrastructure investment,
- Improvements in transport operations and service delivery,
- Required policy and legislative reforms, and
- Practical solutions to implementation bottlenecks.
The session will align sector priorities and interventions with government’s commitments outlined in the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP) 2025–2029, while assessing current performance and strengthening mechanisms to accelerate service delivery.
Through the active participation of academia and industry experts, the session will ensure that proposed interventions are grounded in research, responsive to conditions on the ground, and capable of delivering sustainable, inclusive and efficient transport outcomes for South Africa.
