Rampa Rammopo has, since 2017, served on the Commercial Aviation Association of
Southern Africa (CAASA) board and, in 2023, was appointed as chairman of the finance
committee, where he supports and assists the association on all financial matters. Added to
this is his role as the Affiliate President of the Association of Airports and Aerodromes
Southern Africa (AAA-SA).
He currently serves as the CEO of Lanseria International Airport and is responsible for the
overall leadership, strategic direction, business development, a project and executive
management of the airport.
Rampa previously served as the Chief Investment Officer of Nozala Investments Proprietary
Limited from 2004 to 2014, overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s
investments and financial management operations. At Nozala, he served on the board of
directors of the entity’s portfolio companies.
Before joining Nozala, he worked as an investment manager at AMB Private Equity Partners
Limited and First Corp Capital Investors Limited (now Ethos Private Equity), where he was
involved in private equity investment sourcing, acquisitions, monitoring and divestitures.
Rampa has over 29 years of experience in investment banking (5), private equity (13) and
aviation services (11).
Mr Rammopo holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) from the University of
South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of
Witwatersrand. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the South African
Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Institute of Directors Southern Africa
(IoDSA).
